job summary:

Opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to join an industrial leader and take on a pivotal role in managing supplier qualification processes. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects by tracking and documenting supplier qualification process, managing PPAP activities, and leveraging your industry expertise to drive process improvements.

This role is a hybrid role, requiring one day a week in the office.

location: CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

job type: Contract

salary: $40 - 55 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

  • Track supplier samples and tooling shipped and received statuses, ensuring timely delivery and documentation of certifications and qualifications.

  • Manage the PPAP process, including documentation and communication with suppliers.

  • Create processes to ensure compliance with industry and company standards and requirements.

  • Improve processes related to supplier management and PPAP.

  • Access PLM systems to access component and tooling compliance, review documentation, including drawings and testing reports, to support Category Manager's timelines.

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in technical or manufacturing environments.

  • PMP preferred

  • Experience tracking samples, documenting certifications, and managing PPAP processes.

  • Automotive industry experience is a plus.

  • Experience with PLM systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelors degree
