CPI Security Event and Community Marketing Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina


We are looking for an Event and Community Marketing Specialist who will plan, organize andexecute best-in-class corporate events for increasing product and company awareness, driving customer retention and generating sales leadsfor our iconic brand in the communities we live and serve. We plan over 100 events per year. This person will work closely with our entire marketing and sales team to ensure a successful participation in events planned.

  • Identify and coordinate company activities including, but not limited to trade shows, community and sponsorship-related events and campaigns, and internal events across our footprint.

  • Assist in coordinating internal company events as well as volunteer community initiatives.

  • Coordinate all logistical components required to facilitate successful participation in events and shows.

  • Partner with other members of the Marketing Department to select and coordinate the disbursement of supplemental marketing materials for each event.

  • Assign and track the use of all Company marketing materials utilized and manage all activities for repair and/or replacement of materials as needed.

  • Actively assist in social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

  • Brainstorm & facilitate creative content ideas that are relevant to the industry and company values.

  • Complete and submit all payroll documentation for individuals participating in Company-sponsored events.

  • Partner with Sales Managers to ensure adequate staffing during hours of event participation.

  • Set up and break down booth exhibits for onsite Company presence.

  • Serve as representative at trade shows and marketing promotional events.

  • Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters.

  • Attend and participate in Company events as needed.

  • Enter all contact information for leads obtained via event participation for import into Company CRM.

  • Create and maintain reports to illustrate the effectiveness of each sales event and gauge overall return on investment.

  • May have additional duties as assigned by Management.


  • Must be able to develop and maintain a high-level understanding of all policies, procedures and protocol regarding customer accounts, documentation, and reporting

  • Demonstrate malleability and aptitude to learn, process and effectively implement new policies and procedures as corporate standards are modified over time

  • Must be able to demonstrate professionalism and courteousness in the handling of both internal and customer inquiries

  • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Salesforce or similar CRM

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Must maintain a high level of product knowledge, including, but not limited to current product features and specifications, current corporate promotions, pricing, and discounts

  • Must be able and willing to perform at a high level of competency and accuracy to meet or exceed departmental standards while upholding the best interests of the customer and the company

  • Must be able to perform job responsibilities effectively both working in a team and individually

  • Must be self-motivated and able to take initiative to complete work in a highly accurate manner, within established timelines, guidelines, and standards

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field

  • 3+years previous event coordination and marketing experience

  • Ability to manage projects across teams and with competing priorities

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excitement for learning and improving; self-reflecting, takes feedback well, provides ideas
